SMP Terms & Conditions
The terms you agree to when you connect to Qelvor SMP or buy anything in the Qelvor SMP Store. They are separate from the tournament Terms & Conditions, because the SMP is free and has no entry fee, no prize pool and no payout attached to it. The server is currently in open beta, and the store is open.
What These Terms Cover
One document, two things: the server itself, and anything bought for it.
These Terms Apply To
- Qelvor SMP — the Minecraft: Java Edition server operated by Qelvor eSports LLP, and everything you do while connected to it.
- The Qelvor SMP Store — ranks, coin packs, and the cosmetics and any other virtual items bought with coins.
- The Qelvor SMP Discord — the text and voice channels used to run the server. It is a separate Discord server from the main Qelvor eSports one.
These Terms Do Not Cover
- Qelvor tournaments. Paid competitions are governed by the Terms & Conditions, the Prize Policy and the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- Refunds for store purchases. Those have their own document: the SMP Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
- Your personal data. How it is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy.
- Minecraft itself. Your copy of the game and your Microsoft account are governed by Mojang's and Microsoft's own terms. Qelvor is not affiliated with, endorsed by or associated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft.
Eligibility
Three requirements, and none of them cost money.
To Play On Qelvor SMP You Must
- Be 18 years or older. Qelvor eSports is for players aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. See Children’s Privacy.
- Own Minecraft: Java Edition. Bought from Mojang and signed in with your own Microsoft account. Cracked clients, shared accounts and third-party launchers cannot be moderated and are not permitted.
- Use one account. One Minecraft account per person. Alternate accounts used to evade a removal result in every associated account being removed permanently.
Conduct On The Server
The house rules published on the Qelvor SMP page are binding terms. This is the same list, stated as obligations.
You Agree Not To
- Grief, steal or raid. Do not break, burn or take what you did not build, including chests, farms, animals and anything inside another player’s base.
- Use cheat clients or unfair mods. No x-ray, fly, reach, kill aura, auto-clickers or macros. Minimaps and performance mods such as OptiFine are permitted; anything that reveals what the vanilla client cannot is not.
- Abuse bugs or duplication exploits. Report them on Discord. Using an exploit, or passing it on, is treated as cheating.
- Harass or abuse anyone. Slurs, threats, sexual harassment and following a player across sessions end your access immediately.
- Damage server performance. Entity farms, redstone clocks and chunk loaders built to cause lag are removed, and so is your access.
- Advertise other servers in chat, on signs or in books.
- Impersonate Qelvor staff or claim to speak for Qelvor eSports LLP.
- Attack the service. No attempt to gain unauthorised access to the server, its backups or its infrastructure, and no denial-of-service, scraping or automated flooding.
How We Enforce This
- Removal is the sanction. Depending on what happened, access may be suspended or removed permanently. There is no points system and no automatic second chance.
- A removal comes with a reason — the rule broken and the evidence behind it.
- Appeals go to email, not chat. Write to support@qelvoresports.com with your in-game name and the date. Staff decisions on the server are final.
- A removal for conduct is Qelvor-wide. A ban for cheating or harassment on the SMP may also end your access to Qelvor tournaments, Discord and other services.
- Staff hold no in-game advantage. Staff play in survival. Creative mode and administrative commands are used for moderation only, never for building or for handing out items.
Your Account And Your Access
Access to the SMP is a permission, not property.
Your Responsibilities
- Your account is yours to secure. You are responsible for everything done on the server from your Minecraft account, including by someone you shared it with.
- Do not sell, rent or transfer access. SMP access, coins, ranks and cosmetics are tied to your account and may not be traded, sold or given to anyone, for money or otherwise.
- Tell us if your account is compromised. Write to support@qelvoresports.com so we can suspend access while you recover it.
What Qelvor May Do
- Suspend or remove access where these terms are broken, where the law requires it, or where the server or its players are at risk.
- Moderate and record. The server keeps operational logs — in-game name, account UUID, IP address, connection times, chat and command history — used to run the server, investigate incidents and honour legal obligations. See the Privacy Policy.
- Roll back the world to a recent backup after griefing, an exploit or data loss. A rollback can undo legitimate work done in the same window; that is a consequence of the rollback, not a loss we compensate.
What You Build And What You Post
You keep credit for your work. Qelvor needs permission to run the server it sits on.
- Your builds are yours creatively. Nothing here transfers ownership of anything you design or create.
- You grant Qelvor a licence to operate. By building on the server you give Qelvor eSports LLP a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, back up, restore, moderate and display your in-game builds, chat and screenshots for the purposes of running and promoting Qelvor SMP.
- Builds exist inside the world. They have no cash value, cannot be sold, and do not survive a world reset unless Qelvor says otherwise.
- Do not build or post unlawful or hateful content. Builds, signs, books, skins and names that are obscene, hateful, infringe someone’s rights or break Indian law are removed, and so is the account behind them.
- Screenshots and streams. You may record and stream your own play. Qelvor may feature server screenshots and clips on its own channels; if you would rather your build was not featured, write to support@qelvoresports.com and we will leave it out.
The Store And Virtual Items
What a purchase in the Qelvor SMP Store actually gets you — ranks, coins, and the cosmetics coins buy.
What A Purchase Is
- The store sells ranks and coins. Ranks are bought in Indian rupees, inclusive of all taxes. Coins are bought in packs, also priced in rupees inclusive of all taxes, and spent on cosmetics. Bonus coins that come with a rank work exactly like coins from a pack. Current prices are on the store page.
- Ranks are time-limited. Each rank lasts the number of days stated in the store — 14, 21 or 30 — counted from when it is applied to your account, and then ends. A rank never renews automatically and nothing is charged again.
- Rank kits are cosmetic. A rank unlocks kits of decorative items, and includes the kits of every rank below it. Kits can be claimed only while the rank is active; decorative items already claimed stay in your inventory.
- Coins are not money. They have no cash value and are not a wallet, a deposit, a cash balance or money held on your behalf. They cannot be withdrawn, redeemed or converted into money, and can be spent only in the Qelvor SMP Store.
- A licence, not ownership. Ranks, coins and cosmetics are a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use virtual items on Qelvor SMP. You do not own them, and they are not property.
- Cosmetic only. Ranks, kits and cosmetics change how you look or how you are labelled. Nothing sold changes what you can do in the world, what you can gather, or how fast you can do it.
- No transfer or trading. Ranks, coins and items cannot be transferred, gifted, sold or traded between accounts, inside the game or outside it.
- Tied to your account, and to Qelvor SMP. They do not carry to other servers and do not survive the permanent removal of your account for a rule breach.
- Coins do not expire while Qelvor SMP is running.
What The Store Will Never Sell
- No gameplay advantage. No gear, weapons, armour, tools, food, potions, resources, stat boosts or priority access. Rank kits contain decorative items only.
- No randomised crates, loot boxes or gacha. Every rank and pack shows exactly what it gives, and every cosmetic its price in coins, before you pay. Nothing in the store involves chance.
- No entries, no payouts, no cash-out. The store never sells tournament entries or prize-pool positions, and coins can never be won, withdrawn or paid out.
- No wagering of any kind. Coins can never be staked on anything. Qelvor eSports offers no betting, wagering or games of chance, on the SMP or anywhere else.
Changes, Withdrawal And Closure
- Ranks, items and packs can change. Qelvor may add, alter, re-price or withdraw ranks, items and coin packs. A change never removes coins from your balance, never shortens a rank you have already bought, and never removes the core cosmetic function of an item you already hold without notice.
- If the server closes, ranks, coins and items stop working with it. Qelvor will give reasonable notice on this site and on Discord before a planned closure, and refunds the unused days of any active rank and the unspent coins from any pack bought in the 30 days before it, as set out in the SMP Refund Policy.
- Refunds are governed by the SMP Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
- Chargebacks. Raising a chargeback instead of contacting us suspends the associated account and its coin balance until the matter is settled. Talk to us first — most disputes are a delivery problem we can fix.
The Server Is Provided As It Is
Qelvor SMP is a free community service. It is run carefully, and it is not guaranteed.
- The beta keeps published hours. Qelvor SMP is available from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM IST, daily. Outside those hours it is powered down deliberately, and being unable to connect then is not a fault, an outage or a removal. The current hours are always shown on the Qelvor SMP page and may change on notice given there and on Discord.
- No uptime guarantee. The server may be offline for maintenance, updates, incidents, hosting limits or reasons outside our control. It is a free community service, provided as it is.
- Third-party hosting. Qelvor SMP runs on infrastructure operated by an external Minecraft hosting provider. That provider's availability, queueing and technical limits are outside our control, and what reaches it when you connect is described in the Privacy Policy.
- A beta world can be reset. During the beta the map may be wiped, rolled back or rebuilt. We announce a planned reset here and on Discord first, but a beta reset may come at shorter notice than the rule below, and a beta map is not kept for download. Build freely, but do not treat a beta base as permanent.
- World resets after the beta. Once the beta ends, a reset may still be needed for a major Minecraft version. A planned reset is then announced ahead of time on this site and on Discord, and the old map is kept available for download for a reasonable period.
- Data loss. Backups are taken on a schedule, but no backup is perfect. Work done between the last backup and an incident can be lost.
- Maintenance and restarts happen on a schedule and sometimes at short notice. Announcements go to the Qelvor SMP Discord.
- The server may close. Qelvor may suspend or discontinue Qelvor SMP, with reasonable notice where it is practical to give it.
Liability
What Qelvor is and is not answerable for, stated plainly.
- To the extent permitted by law, Qelvor eSports LLP is not liable for loss of in-game builds, progress or items obtained in play, for downtime, or for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Qelvor SMP. Coins, ranks and cosmetics you paid for are covered by the SMP Refund Policy instead.
- Where liability cannot be excluded, and only to the extent the law allows it to be limited, our total liability to you in connection with the SMP is limited to the amount you actually paid Qelvor for ranks and coin packs in the twelve months before the claim — which, if you have bought nothing, is nil.
- Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for anything else Indian law does not permit us to limit.
- Other players are not us. Qelvor is not responsible for what other players build, say or do, though we do act on reports under the conduct rules above.
- You agree to cover us for claims arising from your own breach of these terms or your unlawful use of the server.
Changes, Law And Where To Write
How these terms change, which law governs them, and who to contact.
Changes & Governing Law
- These terms can change. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Continuing to play or buy after that date means you accept the revised terms.
- Material changes are announced on the Qelvor SMP Discord and on the News page.
- Governing law. These terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India.
- Jurisdiction. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
- If one clause fails, the rest of these terms continue to apply.

What Changed In Version 1.3
- The store opened. The Qelvor SMP Store opened on 28 September 2026, so Section 06 and the SMP Refund Policy now apply to every purchase, rather than being published in advance.
- Payments are processed by Razorpay. Section 06 now names the payment processor.
- Nothing else has changed. The beta hours, and every conduct, account, liability and jurisdiction clause, read as they did in Version 1.2.
What Changed In Version 1.2
- The server moved host. On 24 September 2026 Qelvor SMP moved to a new hosting provider, and the world no longer powers down when it empties — so that line has been removed from Section 07.
- Nothing else has changed. The beta hours, the store, and every conduct, account, liability and jurisdiction clause read as they did in Version 1.1.
What Changed In Version 1.1
- The server went live. Qelvor SMP opened as an open beta on 20 September 2026. Version 1.0 was written before the server existed.
- Section 07 now describes the beta — the published daily hours, the world powering down when empty, the external hosting provider, and the fact that a beta map can be reset at short notice and is not kept for download.
- Section 06 is marked as forthcoming. The store is shut for the beta, so its clauses set out what a purchase will be rather than what is on sale.
- No conduct, account, liability or jurisdiction clause has changed.
